What we review
Scope and price are agreed before any code is written. If something outside the scope becomes a priority, we agree the change openly rather than adding charges later.
- Reliability
- Crashes and error rates by release, the main failures with their root causes rather than raw stack traces, and a clear recommendation on whether to roll back the current version.
- Performance
- Cold start, bundle size, rendering cost and production queries, traced on a real low-end device or against a realistic data volume rather than on a fast laptop. We use AI to generate realistic load and data instead of relying on the small, clean seed data the app was developed with.
- Security and data
- Token and key storage, API authentication, server-side access checks, log contents and the data third-party SDKs transmit without an explicit decision by your team.
- Infrastructure
- Environments, secrets, backups, migrations and whether the rollback procedure has actually been tested.
- Release readiness
- On mobile that means the privacy manifest, data safety, permissions and target API level. On web it means indexability, Core Web Vitals and the metadata that determines how you appear in search results.
- Fix list
- Ranked by user impact against effort, with recommended priorities marked and an estimate for each item. It remains yours regardless of what you decide next.

The ranked fix list is yours within two working days of granting access, so you know the state of the system without waiting out a week. The rest of the five days goes on critical fixes. The audit is free when you sign a Production-Ready or AI MVP contract, because it becomes the first week of that build. On its own it costs up to $1,800 and nothing has to follow it. Larger work becomes a separate fixed-price scope, and you are free to give it to somebody else.

What does a two-day audit include?
Two working days of work by two senior engineers. We use AI to do in hours what used to take days: generating realistic load and data, scanning the codebase for patterns that fail under concurrency, listing edge cases nobody writes by hand. A senior engineer decides which findings are real, and that part does not speed up. If your system is bigger than two days can honestly cover, you hear it on the call and we scope the audit around that instead of delivering a thin list on time.
When is the audit free?
When you sign a Production-Ready or AI MVP contract it costs nothing extra, because it becomes the first week of that build instead of separate work. If you want the audit on its own, to make a decision, take it to your board or hand it to another team, it is up to $1,800 and nothing has to follow it.
What do you need from us to start?
Read access to the repository, a way to run or install the app, and access to whatever error reporting you have. If you have none, we set it up as part of the audit.
What if you find nothing serious?
You get a short report saying so within two days, and for up to $1,800 you know the system is sound. It happens, and we'd rather say so than invent findings to justify the invoice.
Do you fix what you find, or only report it?
The list arrives on day two. Critical fixes get done in the days left, where they fit. Bigger work gets a fixed-price scope, and you are free to give it to somebody else.
Does this cover web and backend, or only mobile?
Both. Mobile apps, web apps and the backends under them. If your stack is outside what we know, you hear that instead of paying for our learning curve.
